Brianna has worked in K-12 public, higher education policy and institutional research. She is a Program Lead at the University of California, Office of the President, but hopes one day to make ActLocal360 a full-time focus. She served as Director of Institutional Research at California College of the Arts where she focused on building a data-driven decision making culture within an art and design institution. As Director of Policy Research for New York City Department of education, she designed accountability metrics for career and college readiness for the New York City Public school system.

Her data analysis has been included in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine articles. In 2018 she became President of the California Association for Institutional Research and served on its Board of Directors from 2016 to 2019. She served on the Board of Trustees for Westcliff University, and as an Advisory Board member for the Center for Art and Public Life and the WASC Senior College and University Commission. She currently serves on the UC President’s Council on the Status of Women. She has presented at several regional and national conferences, on the value of a college degree and metrics for education. In 2019, she was awarded CAIR Best Presentation for storytelling with data.

She earned a Ph D. in Measurement Evaluation and Statistics from Columbia University, M.A. In Educational Psychology and B.A. in Sociology from New York University. Her passion for education stems from growing up in urban Washington, DC and learning first-hand how public education can benefit some and not others. She enjoys dancing, chasing after her two year old daughter and hiking (something she didn’t quite understand until moving to the West coast) with the family.
